The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Reverend Tor Uja, has said that the commission would set up a training committee to drive the training programme of the commission.
He disclosed this recently in Abuja while inaugurating members of the Review of Registry Repositioning Implementation Committee.
He explained that without an established and organised registry system, nothing meaningful would be done. In the words of the Executive Secretary, “I want us to structure our system so that everyone would have access to information”.
Rev. Uja further explained that the committee which was the third in the series of registry repositioning is an implementing committee thus he charged the committee to ensure that everything needs to be properly structured. He affirmed: “I believed that the greatest thing Nigeria has is her people”.
He tasked the committee to ensure that the commission has a system that works.
The NCPC boss also stated that in pilgrimage mobilisation there was need to depart from dependence from states. According to the NCPC boss: “my goal is that all of us, individually and collectively, must develop”.
According to Rev Uja, “you are implementing the process of registry review so let’s establish a system that will work with details and efficiency”.
In his response, the Chairman of the Committee, who is also the Director Special Services, Mr John Usman, expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to serve.
He prayed that whatever they need to excel in their assignment that the Lord would give it to them.
He pledged the cooperation of his committee members drawn from different departments and units to do what is expected of them.
